The IMA Health blog is written by the IMA Health team to help people who take several medicines a day and the families who care for them.
Who are we?
IMA Health is the trading name of Berdac Smart Services, S.L., a Barcelona company founded in 2019. We help people who take several medicines a day: a specialised pharmacy prepares their medication by day and time of each dose, and IMA takes care of coordination with the pharmacy, home delivery and follow-up.
What do we publish?
Practical guides on medication organisation, treatment adherence, caring for older people and health-related procedures in Spain. We write for older people, families and carers, in plain language.
How do we prepare our articles?
- We check medical, legal and numeric information against official and reliable sources: the Spanish Ministry of Health, the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS), the Official State Gazette (BOE), IMSERSO, the Spanish Social Security system, the World Health Organization and scientific societies. We list the sources at the end of each article.
- Content about medicines undergoes a pharmacist review.
- We review and update articles when rules, figures or recommendations change.
- We do not give individual dosing advice: we always recommend following the patient information leaflet and the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
