IMA Health, your home medication service
The social impact company IMA Health lets you receive your medication, organised by a pharmacist, at your front door.
In short
- IMA Health works with partner pharmacies to prepare medication in SPD format, organised by day and time, and delivers it to the person's home.
- The pharmacist reviews the treatment plan and is available to answer questions about dosage or changes of medication.
- The medication for the next four weeks arrives before the previous supply runs out, in individual sachets or weekly blister packs.
- The SPD does not cover the cost of the medicines: if you pay a co-payment (copago), you will keep paying the same as before.
With the aim of reducing risks when taking medication, IMA Health offers a comprehensive service that makes it easier to follow medical treatment.
The medication preparation and delivery service offers a simple solution for people taking multiple medicines. This service will always be carried out by qualified professionals.
What is the IMA Health service?
IMA Health is a social impact company whose profits make it possible to help carers and people taking multiple medicines.
Through the service, it finds the pharmacies that prepare the SPD (personalised dosage system) for people on long-term treatment.
This helps them to keep better track of their treatment plan and avoid mistakes when organising their medication. It also includes delivery, so that people with reduced mobility or with no pharmacy nearby do not have to travel.
How does this service work?
| 1 | IMA helps you find the pharmacies that meet the requirements to prepare SPDs. |
| 2 | Once you have chosen one, the pharmacy will contact you to find out your preferences and answer any questions you may have about taking your medication. |
| 3 | Throughout the process, IMA will carry out continuous follow-up to make sure you receive your medication correctly, and will be available to support you along the way. |
| 4 | When the pharmacy has prepared your medication, IMA will collect it on your behalf, so that you can receive it at your front door. |
| 5 | Likewise, your pharmacist will always be available to advise you while you take your medication, and to answer any questions you may have about the dosage or a change of medication, for example. |
What does the service include?
Although the SPD is available at various pharmacies, not all of them offer it, and they do not add a delivery service either.
That is why IMA Health, a pioneering Spanish company in its sector, makes this service available to people taking multiple medicines.
The service includes the SPD, delivery and the necessary paperwork.

Remember that no SPD service covers the cost of your medication.
If you currently pay a pharmaceutical co-payment (copago), you will keep paying the same as you did before requesting the SPD. So, once your pharmacy has been assigned, you can agree the payment method with the pharmacist.

✓ SPD: the great ally of treatment adherence.
What is the biggest benefit of the SPD? The answer is very simple: It is always prepared in community pharmacies, by an authorised pharmacist, under strict safety and hygiene standards.
Although this is not the only reason, it influences all the others, making it much easier to follow the treatment plan. Here are some of its benefits:
💊 The right medication
|

🏥 Hygiene and well-being

⏰ Save time and be more productive
|
Different formats, the same function.
SPDs can come in three different formats, all of them easy and intuitive.

Each SPD contains the doses of the medical treatment packed individually, according to the day and time they must be taken. In other words, if you have to take two pills on Monday morning, they will be packed together.
Before your medication runs out, you will receive a new package from IMA, with your treatment plan organised for the next four weeks. This way, we make sure you never run out of medication and your treatment is never interrupted. |
Individual sachets: Each sachet contains a single dose. The rest of the medical treatment is organised in the same way.
Weekly blister packs: Both the rectangular and the circular ones cover 7 days with 4 separate doses, making a total of 28.

Who is it for?
The IMA Health service is designed for people with chronic conditions who need help organising their medication. The most common customers tend to be:
👤 People taking multiple medicines
People with chronic illnesses. They can be of any age and are on medium or long-term treatment.
Both a lack of time and the difficulty of organising a weekly pill organiser prevent them from following their treatment plan correctly.
👥 Carers and family members
People who care for an older or dependent person. They are usually non-professional carers looking after someone who needs help with daily tasks.
The most common example is children who, over time, end up taking charge of their parents' well-being.
Does this sound like you? If so, IMA can help you organise your medication and make your day-to-day life easier.
